About the APA

THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN APA LEAGUES! 

Your participation is welcomed by St. Louis APA.  Our goal is to provide a quality pool league for the fun and enjoyment of our members.  By playing in APA leagues our members have an opportunity to shoot pool, meet people, and compete locally for trophies and cash as well as the opportunity to participate nationally in APA Singles Tournaments and Team Tournaments currently held each year in Las Vegas

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

 
Throughout the year we run several tournaments available only to St. Louis APA members.  Some are singles tournaments and others are for teams.  Tournaments currently offered include:
  • Captain's Tournament - offered every session to Team Captains.  Free to enter with cash payouts,
  • Top Gun - offered after each session to the top shooters from each division.  Our players voted and we heard you - there will now be separate 8-Ball and 9-Ball Top Gun tournaments after each session.  Both tournaments will offer 100% payback plus $500 cash added to the payouts.  Both tournaments will be split into two brackets: 1) Skill Levels 4 and Under and 2) Skill Levels 5 and Above,
  • Ca$h Cup - offered after every session to the winners from each division.  Every team that wins the playoff championships for its division wins a bar plaque and entry into the Ca$h Cup.  Every team that qualifies for Ca$h Cup wins guaranteed cash from $100 - $1,000,
  • Jack & Jill Tournament - Form a 2-person male/female team with a total Skill Level limit of 10.  The winners receive a prize package and advance to APA Nationals in Las Vegas in April,
  • 9-Ball Doubles - Form a 2-person 9-Ball team.  This is a Vegas qualifier with the winners advancing to APA Nationals held in Las Vegas during August,
  • 8-Ball Doubles - Form a 2-person 8-Ball team.  This is a Vegas qualifier with the winners advancing to APA Nationalsheld in Las Vegas during August ,
  • Masters - Form a 3-person team with no skill level limit.  This is a Vegas qualifier with the winners advancing to APA Nationals held in Las Vegas during August ,
  • APA-St. Louis Team Championships - Our biggest tournament; held in late May or early June.  Teams that have qualified throughout the year compete for trips to Las Vegas to play in the APA National Team Championships,
  • Singles Boards (8-Ball & 9-Ball) - This is the APA's singles program.  Win an 8-person singles board and advance to Regionals.  Win at Regionals and you win a trip to Vegas to play in the APA National Singles Championships held each April in Las Vegas.  At Nationals players are grouped by their skill level into one of three tiers and the winner in each tier gets $15,000.  Consider winning a trip to Vegas and $15,000 from one minimal entry fee as low as $15!

Division Reps:   Division Reps are available to assist you with many things that may come up during League play such as rules or schedule questions.  Your Division Rep should be your first contact for questions that come up during league play.  Please respect the fact that your Division Rep is volunteering their time and effort to help your division run smoothly.  If your Division Rep does not have an answer for you please call in your question to the League Office during business hours.  Your Division Rep and their telephone number is shown below.
